A Retentive analysis tool for Klaviyo
Flow maps show what should happen. Retentive shows what did: it picks real subscribers from four signup cohorts, rebuilds each person's email timeline from Klaviyo, and flags the pileups, overlaps and late sends that no flow diagram reveals.
One run, a handful of real people, and every email they got.
Retentive picks subscribers who joined in the last two weeks, about 60 days ago, about 6 months ago and about a year ago.
Each person's email history is pulled from Klaviyo and laid out day by day, in the brand's own timezone.
Every problem is flagged on the timeline where it happened, so you can see which flows collided and when.
Each flag is a fixed rule, applied the same way to every subscriber in the sample.
Two or more marketing emails landing on the same day, and bursts of three or more within 24 hours.
Two or more different flows delivering to the same person on the same day, the collision that frequency caps are meant to stop.
The same flow message received more than once by the same subscriber.
Any email sent after the person unsubscribed or was suppressed, the one flag you never want to see.
A welcome flow email arriving more than a week after the person signed up.
Every run is saved to the brand, so you can audit again after a fix and compare.
Look at real timelines, not flow settings. A customer journey audit rebuilds the email history of real subscribers and flags days with two or more marketing emails, bursts of three or more within 24 hours, and flows that deliver on the same day.
Flow overlap is when two or more flows send to the same person at the same time, for example a browse abandonment and a cart abandonment email on the same day. It happens silently because each flow looks correct on its own.
Subscribers at different ages live in different flows. Someone who joined last week is in the welcome series; someone who joined a year ago gets campaigns and win-backs. Sampling recent, 60-day, 6-month and 12-month subscribers covers the whole lifecycle.
Yes. Any send that lands after the subscriber's unsubscribe or suppression time is flagged on their timeline.
No. It only reads profiles and their email history. Nothing in the Klaviyo account is modified.
Find out why revenue moved: campaigns, flows or everything else.
Find broken links and dead discount codes in live flows and scheduled campaigns.
Proofread every email before it sends, including the words inside images.
Customer Journey ships inside Retentive, next to Revenue Diagnosis, the link checker and Klaviyo analytics. One Klaviyo connection powers all of it.
Customer Journey is Retentive's audit of what Klaviyo subscribers actually receive. Instead of reading flow settings, it samples real subscribers and rebuilds each one's email timeline from the Klaviyo account, day by day, in the brand's timezone.
The sample spans four signup cohorts: people who joined in the last two weeks (at least three days ago, so the welcome series has started), and people who joined about 60 days, about 6 months and about 12 months ago. Each cohort sits in a different part of the lifecycle, so together they show the whole program.
Every timeline is checked against fixed rules: two or more marketing emails on one day, three or more within 24 hours, two or more flows delivering on the same day, the same flow message received twice, any send after an unsubscribe or suppression, and a welcome email arriving more than seven days after signup. Each run is saved to the brand, and the audit only reads from Klaviyo.
Customer Journey is one tool inside Retentive, a Klaviyo intelligence platform. The same connection powers Revenue Diagnosis, the link and discount code checker and campaign and flow analytics.
